Spanish Society of Ultrasound
For several decades, a group of doctors from different specialties, headed by Prof. Eugenio Cerezo, have been committed to the task of disseminating ultrasound as an advanced diagnostic method. Thus, more than 30 years ago, the Spanish Society of Ultrasound (SEECO) was born.
The particularity of our Society is that it integrates various health professions and different medical specialties, which undoubtedly translates into an enrichment in the training work that is developed in the different academic activities that are carried out year after year throughout Spain.
It is worth highlighting the international recognition that SEECO has had since its origins, both in the European sphere, forming part as a Spanish representative in the EFSUMB (European Federation of Societies Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology), as in other continents, through the signing of different international agreements with other ultrasound societies.
Our philosophy
From now on, the objective will be to create, within the organizational chart of the society, work sections for the development of new academic and scientific activities, starting with the musculoskeletal ultrasound section.
For this reason, we are opening this website to new initiatives that will allow SEECO to grow, both in the number of members and in the number of new activities that will allow us to improve the use of ultrasound techniques every day. To this end, this Board of Directors remains at your disposal, working for the benefit of all members. We look forward to seeing you.
